A cashier is required in almost all stores wherever sale and financial transactions are involved with the outsiders. The basic education that a cashier must have is not specified as such however some companies prefer degree or diploma candidates.
A retail cashier handles the checkout areas of the stores and is involved in day to day operations. The basic qualities that must reflect in your resume are strong numerical skills with hands on mathematics or accounts, time management, telephone etiquette, teamwork, and knowledge about the product to some extent (although not necessary).
